The Sudan Wiki Initiative is a project of the Information and Media (IAM) program headed by the Director of Information and Media Josef Scarantino. SudanWiki is an online repository of information about nearly every detail of Sudan that is editable by anyone with knowledge of Sudan. SudanWiki holds these primary goals:

• to create more awareness about the people, culture, and history of Sudan
• to involve and empower Sudanese worldwide in the creation and recording of their own history

SudanWiki was inspired by the success of WikiPedia and the need to have one central location where anyone can find information about Sudan. The goal of SudanWiki is to list everything about Sudan in every detail possible, from every village and city to every day in history to every public figure, etc.

Contributing to SudanWiki is as easy as creating an account. No programming experience is required.

SudanWiki is currently under construction and is set to be launched soon.
