Mr. Sisto Olur worked as a civil servant in the former Regional Government Administration of the South Sudan from 1974-1986 before leaving the country in 1989 due to civil war. While in Sudan he took his first appointment as a Clerk with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and then later with the Regional Development Corporation (RDC), Public Relations Officer, People's Regional Assembly (PRA) Juba, Project Secretary, Upper Talanga Tea Project (UTTP) Office Manager, Council for the South Khartoum, and also joined the United Nations and worked as Administrative Assistant at the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Khartoum covernng Sudan and Somalia. Sisto Olur obtained a Diploma (Institute for Administrative Accounting and Data Processing) from Universal C. College, Nairobi Kenya, and speaks Acholi, English, Swahili, Finnish and Norwegian languages respectively.
