Director of Education and Training

Roselyn Oduho, a human right activist, has been involved with the anti-slavery movement in Colorado and also has worked to promote women’s rights and gender equality. She is involved with a group that promotes the rights of every citizen to enjoy free access to education particularly working to bring important awareness of girl’s education in Sudan. Roselyn has also held many notable leadership positions in both churches and non-profit organizations.

Timeline
 
1988 - 1992—Trained as Home Health Educator. Work with Adventist to promote healthy habits in life. Obtained diploma in EPI. Work with both Juba Teaching hospital and Adventist Clinic in Munuki, Juba Sudan.
 
1994 - 1995—Treasurer of World University Service of Canada (WUSC) at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada. Responsible for coordinating fund-raising activities.

1995 - 1996—Youth Coordinator for Immigrant Women of Saskatchewan, Canada. Able to solicit funding from the provincial government and design summer youth program and activities such as sports, conferences, mentor and peer counseling.
 
1996 – 1998—President World University Service of Canada (WUSC) at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada. Under the leadership was able to mobilize fundraising activities through the Student Union Government body whereby each student who registered at the University of Regina paid a dollar to bring refugee students who are not able to continue with their academic program due to war in their countries. The refugee students were then offered scholarships to come and study at the University of Regina. Since the program began, many students from different countries including Sudan, Liberia, and Afghanistan to mention few were able to utilize the scholarship to gain access to education.
 
2000—Attended leadership training with the Lutheran Refugees Services in Baltimore, Maryland.
 
2001 – 2003—President and founder of the African Sudanese Women Association of Colorado. Designed programs such as the ESL program, computer literacy, day care training, health and citizenship awareness programs, and cooking lessons.
 
2005 – Present—Coordinator with C-SAW, helping in coordinating a project that is sponsoring the Lost Girls of Sudan from Nairobi, Kenya to Boulder, Colorado.

Other Notable Information

  • Board member and co-founder of South Sudan Women's Empowerment Network. Helped to coordinate fund raising activities for SSWEN 2005, First Annual conference.

  • Currently a student at the University of Colorado Denver and Health Science Center, majoring in both International Business and Human Resources Management Science.

  • Roselyn is also a fundraiser with World Vision Canada.
