General Secretary

Isaac Kueth Gang, the General Secretary and a founding member of South Sudan Institute for Democracy & Peace (SSIDP) came to the United States in 1995 and has been living in the state of Mississippi ever since. Having experienced the wrath of Civil War in Sudan that lasted well over fifty years, Gang (pronounced Ga'ang)seized the opportunity once here and successfully continued his education, once interrupted by war, starting from High School through College.
Now a Software Engineer/Programmer, Gang holds an Associate in Arts (AA) in Computer Science from Hinds Community College in Raymond, Mississippi, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, and a Bachelor of Art (BA) in History also at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
Gang is an active member in the community and currently holds the position of Secretary of Public Affairs/Information for Southern Sudanese Association of Mississippi (SSAM), a not-for-profit community organization based in Jackson, Mississippi. In addition, he is the Information Technology (IT) Director for Sudan Reconstruction Skills Search Project (SRSSP), a partner not-for-profit organization working under United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to transfer skilled Sudanese from Diaspora to South Sudan in order to rebuild the war-torn country, which is also based in Jackson, Mississippi.
Gang is also an Executive member of South Sudan Freedom (SSF), a not-for-profit organization working for the freedom of Southern Sudanese in particular and the marginalized Sudanese in general, and the Southern Region SPLM Chapter Council. Gang is extremely active in Sudanese community affairs and closely follows Sudanese politics. Currently, Gang is living and doing his graduate studies at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, seeking MS in Computer Science.
