This is headed by the Director of Treasury. While the Directory of the Treasury is the policy-maker on financial matters, the Treasurer is the technical and the financial officer of the Institute. The Treasurer manages and runs the daily financial affairs of SSIDP.

Apart from keeping the money, the property, the assets, and managing the accounts and financial matters of the Institute, the Treasury is also the advisory body on financial, monetary, accounting, book-keeping, budget management and administration systems.

In this capacity, it provides technical, professional and expert advice to national, state, and local governments, community organizations, private and public institutions on financial management, accounting, budgeting and book-keeping. The Treasury formulates policies and lays down plans aimed at improving the financial and the monetary system, and also to improve the financial management skills of the national, state and local government
