The activities include but are not limited to the following:
Education of the people of South Sudan about democratic values and principles.
To inculcate the culture of democracy and peace in South Sudan.
Establishment, promotion, and strengthening of democratic institutions, electoral processes, constitutional and law reforms.
Carrying out civic and voter education, and public awareness aimed at reaching the marginalized groups in the society.
Empowerment of citizens, and the private-sector groups in the fields of democracy and peace.
Advocate and promote social justice, human rights, and the Rule of Law.
Working to promote equality, and women participation in political/government and in all aspects of life in the society.
Working and promoting sustainable peace and unity among the tribes in South Sudan.
Enhancement of awareness about democratic governance and legislative process.
Enlisting the energies and talents of private citizens and groups to build a democratic and peaceful future.
Organize and enlighten South Sudanese inside and outside South Sudan about the democratic processes and the issue of Self-Determination that had been ushered in by the CPA.
Organize citizens to participate in census and voter registration.
Strengthen democratic participation and responsible citizenship through civic education.
Increase local participation in elections, and voter registration.
How These Activities Are Carried Out:
Democratic and legislative Processes: These are carried out by organizing training, seminars, workshops, community, and groups meetings, conferences, symposia, public lectures, development and publication of literature in the local languages, and radio and TV broadcasts.
Citizens Projects: These projects are designed to assist adults to register for census and for elections. Activities will include providing the local people with help in filling out census and voter forms, and providing transportation to registration stations.
Youth Campaign for Democracy: This is carried out through civic education project designed for primary and secondary school students to acquire skills in democracy and democratic processes, and to develop interest in public policymaking as well as the ability to participate competently and responsibly in local and national governments.
Voter registration in Diaspora: This project is designed to identify voting locations for South Sudanese in Diaspora and assist them to register and vote.
