The mission of SSIDP is to inculcate the culture of democracy, peace, and democratic political governance in South Sudan. It is engaged in educating the people of South Sudan about democratic values and principles, and to strengthen democratic electoral process, law, and constitutional reforms in South Sudan.


SSIDP works to promote sustainable democracy, peace, and respect of the Rule of Law, by building democratic and peace institutions in South Sudan. SSIDP engages in empowerment of citizens, private-sector groups, and communities, in the fields of democracy and peace; and advocating and promoting social justice, human rights; and to work and maintain sustainable peace and unity among the peoples of South Sudan.


SSIDP seeks to enlist the energies and talents of private citizens and groups to build a democratic and peaceful future for South Sudan. The institute also seeks to reduce the gap in the balance of national power and resources sharing, and increasing equitable representation within the elective organs in South Sudan.


SSIDP is organized exclusively as a nonprofit, non-trust, and for charitable, literary, educational, and nonpartisan purposes as set forth in Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. We are in the process of filing for Tax Exempt Certificate under Section 501(c)3.
