Displaced Persons And Refugees (DPR) |

Statistics show that in South Sudan, there are about 4 million displaced people, and another one million are refugees in the neighboring countries. This big number demands the launching of a huge repatriation, resettlement, and rehabilitation program. SSIDP believes that the government alone may not cope up with this huge program. So, it requires the participation of local, and other regional and international public and private organizations and institutions. SSIDP gets involved here: - To insure that internally displaced persons (IDP) and refugees are given the right attention and accorded the treatment that they deserve under international convention and treaties, during and after repatriation, resettlement and rehabilitation.
- To guard against abuse of human rights.
- To formulate and lay down the appropriate policies, plans, and activities in matters pertaining to IDP and refugees.
- Work to make the return, resettlement, and rehabilitation process favorable to IDP and returning refugees.
- To provide professional, academic, expert and technical advice on matters pertaining to IDP and refuges.
