Education And Training (EAT) |

This program consists of two departments: 1. Education Department (ED): Through ED, SSIDP carries out the following: - Conduct researches on education policies and activities, and advise the national, state, and local governments accordingly.
- Help in the formulation of policies, and plans for the improvement of the educational system in South Sudan.
- Formulation, creation and establishment of proper school curriculum for all levels of education in South Sudan.
- Conduct and carry out civic and political education.
2. Department of Training (DOT): All the training activities of the Institute are carried out through DOT. The department is also responsible for: - Training citizen leadership, and conduct such courses, seminars, workshops, conferences, and meetings for the purposes of training and instruction.
- Carry out researches on training needs and policies of the national, state, and local governments with the aim of formulating better training policies and plans that suit the government level concerned.
- Advise governments on training matters.
- Deals with training civil servants, community leaders, and private and public institutions leaders on civil, political, and other democracy issues through civic education.
In a nutshell, through EAT, SSIDP aims to produce capable citizen leaders, institution leaders, and cadres that will enhance and promote sustainable democracy and peace in South Sudan. The Education and Training (EAT) program is currently headed by SSIDP Board Member Rose Oduho .
