This program consists of two departments as follows:

1. Department of Peace (DOP): The focus here is the enhancement of peace within and among communities and tribes. It seeks to build up peace-making, peace-building, and peace-keeping groups. DOP also works to provide capacity building and empowerment of these groups. It conducts researches and studies with the aim of providing a technical and professional advice on peace issues. It also provides training for local community leaders, civil servants and leaders of private and public organizations on issues of peace.

 

2. Department of Reconciliation (DOR): This department takes over immediately in areas where peace is achieved. It creates and provides the conditions that are favorable for reconciliation. It trains civil society organizations leaders, community leaders, civil servants and councilors in reconciliation. Capacity building and empowerment of these reconciliation groups is one of the main objectives of this department. DOR carries out academic, professional and scientific research on reconciliation, and conflict management issues, and offers advice on the same to government, groups, communities and organizations. Training of conflict managers is one of the tasks that this department carries out.
